  How to Install Fonts
  (for PCs running Windows)

  1. Download the Windows version of the font to your PC. If you download fonts often, create a folder on your desktop for new downloads.

  2. If the font file is zipped (.zip extension), create a new folder within your Fonts folder with the name of the font. Unzip the font files to that folder.

  3. Use the Start menu to open the Fonts directory in the Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Fonts). This directory contains all of the fonts installed on your PC.

  4. Use the menu path File > Install New Font...

  5. In the Add Fonts dialog box, use the Folders: drill-down menu to find your Fonts folder. If you stored it on your Desktop, double-click c:\, then Documents and Settings, then the Folder with your name, then Desktop. Depending on how your computer is set up, the path to your Desktop may vary.

  6. Double-click the folder with the font you want to add.

  7. In the List of Fonts: menu, select the font to install, and click OK.

  8. An Install Fonts dialog box appears with the status of the install. Once this disappears, the font is active. You should be able to use it with most programs on your PC.
